It is a view of the coastal landscape officially Antibes, a city in southeastern France, on the Côte d'Azur between Cannes and Nice. The sky and water are rendered in various shades of bright blue, while the buildings, towers and walls are in shades of red, evoking the warmth of summer. The original painting was produced in 1911.
