These Three Kings of Orient Are Christmas Drawing Coffee Mug

We Three Kings is a favourite Christmas carol at our house. When John Henry Hopkins Jr. wrote the classic song in 1857 for a Christmas pageant at his church in Philadelphia, he couldn't have guessed how popular the tune would be even now. The carol reflects the story of the Magi, or Wise Men, who followed a star to visit the newborn Jesus, as recounted in the Gospel of Matthew. It features a memorable melody and lyrics that emphasize the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, symbolising the royal, divine, and sacrificial aspects of Jesus's identity. The carol quickly gained popularity and has since become a staple of Christmas music around the world.
