English Scenes series A great photograph of the prominent rock on the third beach at Bovisand in Devon. The three beaches are a well-kept secret, really only known to the locals and a few well-informed tourists. Of the three beaches, this one, the third, is the most secluded and anyone who has been here will recognise this particular rock, rising out of the sand as it does. Many, many children have happy memories of playing 'chase' around it or gingerly climbing it, avoiding scrapes (not always successfully) from the sharp barnacles! image code: hrcol101
