MEANING: This is the symbol and the mantra associated with the Third Eye Chakra, Ajna Chakra. "SHAM" may be chanted while keeping yourself concentrated on feeling the energy of this center in the point between your eyebrows, or right where your pineal gland is located inside of you, behind your throat/nasal cavity in the center of your head , aligned with the point between your eyebrows and right in between the two hemispheres of the brain. You may not feel it initially, but with practice, you will. You may even feel a pulsation in your forehead. "SHAM" is the bija (seed) mantra for this chakra and its pronunciation and chanting is believed to vibrate at the frequency required to activate this center.
