This is algebra. T-Shirt

The word "algebra" comes from the Arabic title of a 1200-year-old book that made many advances in the field, "The Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing." In other words, "Al-kitāb al-mukhtaṣar fī ḥisāb al-ğabr wa’l-muqābala" (The text's author, al-Khwārizmī, was originally from a region in modern-day Uzbekistan, but did much of his work in Baghdad. In fact, the word "algorithm" is derived from his name.) Celebrate the history of math with this elegant design featuring the Arabic title of this ancient text. Decorations around the edge are inspired by those of the original manuscript itself, with a little embellishment.
