Point Lobos, Monterey, California by Thomas Moran, 1912.
Thomas Moran from Bolton, England was an American painter and printmaker of the Hudson River School in New York whose work often featured the Rocky Mountains. Moran and his family took residence in New York where he obtained work as an artist. He was a younger brother of the noted marine artist Edward Moran, with whom he shared a studio. A talented illustrator and exquisite colourist, Thomas Moran was hired as an illustrator at Scribner's Monthly. During the late 1860s, he was appointed the chief illustrator for the magazine, a position that helped him launch his career as one of the premier painters of the American landscape, in particular, the American West.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

I bought this for our own home. It turned out beautifully, and I would recommend it to anyone who has concerns about the quality of the product. The printing turned out perfect. I did have some concerns how printing would turn out. Would the colors be accurate to the original painting's colors ? Yes. Would the sides look right? Yes. Would the bend affect the presentation? No, it's beautiful.
I took these pictures hurriedly, on a dark, rainy day, and the room is not particularly light any time. Regretfully, the photos do not do justice to the artwork.
