Full title: Three Wild Geese Flying Downward across the Moon, by Utagawa Hiroshige
This is one of the very popular woodblock prints of Japanese woodblock artist Utagawa Hiroshige. He was one of the last great artists of the Ukiyo-e style. His work was readily reproduced and distributed as woodblock prints. This process made Hiroshige's artwork accessible to the masses, thus contributing to the immense popularity of this style and also for Hiroshige's artistry.
Here we have retained exceptional colour accuracy by cross referencing Hiroshige's work which is hanging in galleries all over the world. You will also find an extraordinary amount amount of detail in these prints that truly rivals the original first generation woodblock prints.
