Tian Tan Buddha Hong Kong Postcard
This postcard features people gathering around the Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong under a pale pink sky. It is a large bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni which was completed in 1993. It is located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong. The statue is situated near Po Lin Monastery and symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature and between people and faith. It is a major centre of Buddhism in Hong Kong.
