To dance teachers and concerned dance parents: if your beefs at competition or on social media are dancers in dance briefs or booty shorts over bare legs doing ecarte devant/efface devant side layouts (Yes, both of them are ballet body positions with legs in obtuse angles!), these perennial ornaments are for you! Back in the '80s, dancers (or those who took to gyms) wore the former garments over unitards or leggings, so it could be high time for a revival for modesty's sake...
