The Titan's Goblet is by the American landscape painter Thomas Cole. It is an oil painting on canvas, created in 1833. It was inspired by the fantastic fountains of Florence, Rome, and Tivoli. The giant goblet stands on lush terrain upon the edge of a cliff, surrounded by mountains and water. Another world exists on the goblet's rim and within the goblet's water. Along the fertile brim, Cole has painted a Greek Temple, an Italian palace, inhabitants and more.
