This is one of the many winding paths you'll find in Muir Woods National Monument just outside San Fransisco, CA. Full of ferns, giant coastal redwoods and an amazing array of life. This photograph shows how truly inside the park you are when you visit. Notice the fallen redwood tree cut in half to make way for the trail. You see this type of thing allover the park.
