Much of the 11-mile Kalalau trail traverses lush tropical forest over volcanic boulders, which can be slippery with damp leaves and mist, and leads hikers over the dips and rises of the Na Pali Coast in northern Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. The Kalalau Trail trailhead is at Ke’e Beach ending at Kalalau Beach along the Nāpali Coast.
