Benjamin was a patriarch of one of the twelve tribes of Israel and the youngest Son of Jacob. His mother Rachel died shortly after birthing him and he was named benoni 'son of my sorrow' but Jacob didn't like that name and renamed him Benjamin. While Jacob was on his deathbed he gathered his 12 sons and blessed them accordingly. Benjamin which means son of the right hand was his youngest son. Benjamin is a wolf that tears in pieces. In the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil
