This is NOAA’s chart number 18600 titled, "Trinidad Head to Cape Blanco". It is based on the original, traditional paper nautical chart. The chart covers the California and Oregon coasts from Trinidad Head to Cape Blanco. The chart’s scale is 1:196,948 at Lat. 42°00’N. Colour shading on the chart indicates various water depths and land elevations. Depth soundings are in fathoms. Also included on the chart are aids and hazards to navigation. Mariners typically use nautical charts covering this map scale for offshore navigation and planning. NOAA is phasing out this paper chart and others like it.
