Trolley - Baltimore, MD - Watch your step please Large Clock

Colourized photo from 1943 Original title: Trolley leaving the terminal at night Photographer: Marjory Collins Located: Druid Hill and Fulton Avenues, Baltimore, MD Some would say the night shift isn't ideal, but for some jobs it might be the best. The car is mostly empty, the streets don't have people or cars in the way. You can be one with your thoughts while you cruise down the road. Best of all there is no glaring light in your eyes. We are standing in the Park Terminal, it was built in 1909, it was the largest streetcar barn in the Baltimore system. It still stands on Druid Hill and Fulton Ave, I believe as a parking garage of some kind. The last Baltimore street car ran on November 3 1963. It was about this time where most of these left the streets, buses replaced them.
