A one-ruble Russian postage stamp from the Tsarist period, issued in 1889 (Scott Catalogue number 45), showing the imperial double-headed eagle; superimposed on an "old paper" background image to resemble an aged, antique envelope. The arched Cyrillic text reads "Pochtovaya Marka (postage stamp);" the text below that reads "1. Roob (ruble, abbreviated)." The stamp is "cancelled" with text reading "MOCKBA" (MOSKVA - Moscow). It is cardboard and plastic /laminated when it clearly states leather. I was expecting a leather front page. .
