【Toke】Watanabe Moritsuna was known by the nickname "Yari no Hanzō" rather than his real name. In 1562, during the Mikawa Hachiman battle, he served as the rear guard and is said to have saved dozens of allies with a single spear. He was always by Ieyasu's side, and there is an anecdote that an enemy scout reported seeing Hanzō's golden tub sash and confirmed that Ieyasu had arrived at Okayama before the Battle of Sekigahara. The "Tub" was also seen as a family crest in the early days (Kenichi Takahashi, "Daimyō Family Crests"). This design was created with reference to the same book (May 10, 2015). Other family crests include Mitsuboshi Ichimonji, Watanabe Ōgi, and Yūgao ni Tsuki.
