Tufted Titmouse Fledgling Baby Bird

You know springtime is here when you see the newly hatched fledglings begging for food from the parent birds. This small songbird is a Tufted Titmouse, a grey, mouse-coloured bird with a pointed crest. This baby bird is perched on the branch of a small crab apple tree in our yard, complete with small crab apples. The silhouette of the tree trunk and branches stand out against a light blue sky and the flowerbed.
