Tungurahua volcano, Ecuador Notebook

Tungurahua is an active volcano near the town of Baños in Ecuador. The summit of this Andean peak is more than 5000 metres above sea level, and Tungurahua forms part of the Avenue of the Volcanoes. It was not erupting at the time this photograph was taken, although the effect of the dusk light on nearby clouds almost suggests otherwise.
