Two Donkeys (by Isaac Israels) Tissue Paper

This design features a painting by the Dutch artist Isaac Lazarus Israëls (1865–1934), who was associated with the Amsterdam Impressionism movement. It shows two donkeys on the sands of a beach. Donkeys have, for a long time, been traditionally ridden by children as a seaside attraction. The original Dutch title of the artwork is "Twee Ezeltjes", meaning "Two Donkeys", and it was completed in 1901; the painting is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
