Two Martens Playfully Fighting in the Woods Stone Coaster
This design features a painting by the German artist Johannes Christian Deiker (1822–1895). It shows two martens climbing on a rock in a forest landscape. A marten is a weasel-like mammal that has a bushy tail and large paws with partially retractile claws. The small mammals appear to be acting aggressively with each other. The martens have brown fur and tails; their furry bellies are white. There are many trees and much greenery behind the two animals.
