The Right Double Tomoe is a crest used by Oishi Kuranosuke in the story of the 47 Ronin. This design is an 'outline' or 'cut-out' style, where the Tomoe pattern is cut out to create a stencil, which is then placed on fabric and painted with a brush (reference: 'Manji no Maryoku, Tomoe no Juryoku' by Fusao Sakawa, p.146).
