The United Kingdom Space Agency (UKSA) is an executive agency of the Government of the United Kingdom, responsible for the United Kingdom's civil space program. It was established on 1 April 2010 to replace the British National Space Centre and took over responsibility for government policy for space exploration. UKSA and represents the United Kingdom in all negotiations on space matters. USKA also cooperates with NASA and ESA (European Space Agency) on projects ranging from large inter-planetary missions to the International Space Station. In fact, the first UKSA astronaut, Time Peake, has just been selected to join a future Expedition crew on the ISS! UKSA brings together all UK civil space activities under one single management.
