Unseelie Winter Solstice Card

Painted, in watercolor, is an Unseelie fairy, robed in black with a crown of black branches. In the abstract background swirls the winter hue purple on one side, with the Autumn hue of red on the other. The Unseelie court of fae, the dark class of fairies in Celtic folklore, are said to rule over the seasons of Autumn and Winter. The Unseelie are darkly- inclined and generally, do not take kindly to humans. However, just like the light-hearted Seelie are not always benevolent, neither are the Unseelie wholly malevolent.
