The mine countermeasure ship USS Dextrous (MCM 13) takes part in mine counter measure operations in the Arabian Gulf along with coalition forces. The USS Dextrous is forward deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein (March 19, 2003 - Photograph by Photographer’s Mate 1st Class Brien Aho - Released).
