The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly is a large, colourful creature with a wing span of about 4 inches. They love to visit flowers for a sip of nectar. The females have a blue dusting on the lower part of their wings, while the male has black. There is a dark phase that occurs in our locale, and this year we’ve seen a few after a long absence.
