Van Gogh - The Langlois Bridge At Arles Tie
Vincent Van Gogh's The Langlois Bridge At Arles. Oil on canvas from 1888 depicts a wooden drawbridge over a canal that Van Gogh painted while living in Arles in southern France. The Langlois Bridge reminded Van Gogh of Hiroshige's print Sudden Shower on the Great Bridge and he sought to integrate techniques from Japanese artwork into his own. In 1930, the original drawbridge was replaced by a reinforced concrete structure which, in 1944, was blown up by the Germans during WWII.
Unlike similar stores, Art Lover's Cafe features classic, high resolution works of art that have been carefully restored, colour-balanced & retouched to remove spots & artefacts commonly found in most reproductions sold online. Compare the quality and vivid colours of the artwork found here with others on the Internet and you'll see the difference.
