Vanity of Vanities All Is Vanity Ecclesiastes Doormat

A mysterious circular mirror scene explores vanity, self-reflection, beauty, identity and the fleeting nature of appearances through two figures gathered at a dressing table. Perfect for art lovers, vintage enthusiasts, literature fans and admirers of darkly elegant artwork, this design makes a memorable gift for birthdays, housewarmings or special occasions. The composition presents a hauntingly elegant scene of self-reflection and vanity, centred within a large circular mirror or reflective frame. The luminous interior of the mirror isolates two human figures in an intimate dressing-table setting: one figure sits or leans in the foreground in partial profile, while another faces the viewer from within the reflection. Their poses feel contemplative, mysterious and emotionally ambiguous. Around them, the suggestion of a vanity table emerges through bottles, containers and personal objects gathered along the lower edge. The surrounding darkness creates a theatrical sense of enclosure, transforming an ordinary moment of personal grooming into something dreamlike and symbolic. The circular mirror becomes a visual metaphor for identity, appearance, memory and the fleeting nature of beauty. The phrase “ALL IS VANITY” gives the work its philosophical character, echoing the timeless idea that beauty, possessions and worldly appearances are ultimately temporary. The result is an atmospheric vintage-inspired composition with the mood of an old theatre, forgotten photograph or mysterious dream.
