Beautiful shades of blue are captured in this photograph of the ruins of the MacKay clan seat, Varrich Castle, overlooking the Kyle of Tongue, in northeastern Scotland. There are believed to be caves beneath the structure where the earliest McKays may have lived. Varrich Castle, or Castle Varrich, may be built on an earlier Norse fort.
