CYANOTYPE is the oldest photographic printing technique, it is also called blue print, due to the deep blue colour that characterises it.
It was born in 1842 with Sir John Hershel who was looking for an alternative way to manual copying to create duplicates of his manuscripts.
I chose a classic photo of old Ibiza and on the other side the same photo where I applied the cyanotype effect

I'd been experimenting with transferring designs to other products when my wife noticed this old time metal lunchbox. I knew she wanted it thus I created a special one just for here with a couple of her favorite photos I'd taken. Excellent. The cloud image on the front is her favorite of the two. It was taken right off our back patio. The other image was in West Texas several years ago, wide open spaces and roads.

I had a problem with the first lunchbox they sent me because it had a smudge in the print, but fortunately they replaced it for free, no return and no questions asked. The second one turned out perfect. I especially love the color of the "baby blue" lunchbox. It is so beautiful and has a retro nostalgic hue. 5*'s!!!
