A windmill in the countryside at the top of a hill in Montmartre. There is a peasant farmer in the foreground working his field on a farm. Montmartre is a suburb on the northern side of Paris, France. About the artist: Vincent Willem van Gogh (1853-1890) was a Post Impressionist painter whose work was most noteable for its rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold colour.
