About This Design

Vincent Van Gogh - Wheat Field with Cypresses Tile

Vincent Van Gogh - Wheat Field with Cypresses Tile

Wheat Field with Cypresses (Champ de blé avec cyprès), painted in September 1889 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This September version was developed from the outdoor composition Van Gogh had painted in June. Working from the earlier study while temporarily restricted to his room, he clarified and intensified the forms of the cypresses, wheat and clouds rather than simply duplicating them. Van Gogh regarded the resulting picture as one of his strongest summer landscapes, using repetition as a way to refine an image first discovered before nature.

My fiancé and I were happy when we received the tile. It’s Peru and was worth paying extra for expressing postage. Good quality and it is exactly like we wanted it. We are very pleased.
