Vinland Runic Flag - What Might Have Been Magnet

Had the Vikings sustained their status as the first European settlers in North America (500 years before Columbus), the creation of a Vinland flag might be an assumption, but the presence of runes would not. Runes were characters in the Viking alphabet. There were various versions over time, but those displayed here were the most common. They surely would have provided the records of a culture that could have ultimately created such a flag. Thus, it seems fitting that this version of a hypothetical Vinland flag be composed of a rune pattern responding to ‘what might have been’ by 'viking-ising' this phrase: "The future would be different."
