Vintage - Art Deco Lady in Red,

A vintage illustration by Tito Corbella in his famous art deco style. It features a young lady sitting in the grass surrounded by white wildflowers. She has removed her straw summer hat which is on the ground beside her. She wears a dress with a tiered full skirt in red with black trim and a black bodice with short sleeves. There are black and white patterned images decorating the skirts of the dress. The background behind her is pastel green and there are three curved art deco swirls simulating branches with pastel pink flowers. The artist, Tito Corbella (1885-1966), was born in Pontremoli, Italy and died in Rome, Italy. He signed his artwork as “T. Corbella” and was most famous for his Italian art deco style. His love of beautiful women, fashion and glamour is evident in the more than 300 images he painted which were often used on postcards. This card is blank inside for your own message.
