A colourful vintage illustration by Clara M. Burd of a group of five happy boys and girls playing in a yard under a tree festooned with Chinese lanterns. One child is blindfolded and is reaching out to find the other children as they scurry around trying to stay at least one arm's length out of reach. The American artist, Clara M. Burd (1873-1933) was born in New York, and studied art in New York City and later in Paris. She is best known for her illustrations for children’s books, but she also illustrated for magazine covers, designed stained glass and murals for churches, and painted children’s portraits and scenes from historical periods. This card is blank inside for your own message.
