A vintage illustration by Clara M. Burd featuring a little boy and a little girl in a farmyard playing with a flock of white geese and their fluffy yellow goslings. The boy sits and leans up against an old-fashioned water pump where a stream of water has created a puddle for the goslings to play in, and the girl holds one goose in her arms. The American artist, Clara M. Burd (1873-1933) was born in New York, and studied art in New York City and later in Paris. She is best known for her illustrations for children’s books, but she also illustrated for magazine covers, designed stained glass and murals for churches, and painted children’s portraits and scenes from historical periods. This card is blank inside for your own message.
