    Vintage - Fairy in a Garden, Mouse Pad

    Vintage artwork by Amelia Jane Murray (aka Lady Oswald), (1800-1896) who was born and raised on the small island of Port-e-Chee (meaning "fairy music") in the Isle of Mann. After hearing tales about fairies throughout her childhood, she concentrated her subject matter in her artwork on painting fairies. In this image, a lovely fairy holds up a leaf from a rose bush as she rides atop a snail. The snail is perched in the midst of a pink rose in full bloom.
