The Italian artist, Sergio Bompard, is a mystery as far as his life. Little is known about him and little is published online about him except that he was a prolific artist who specialised in illustrations for magazines and postcards during the World War I era. His subject matter was primarily beautiful women of the time, however, he also painted romantic couples, art deco style illustrations of women in the latest fashions (often with greyhound dogs), as well as children.
