Vintage - Girl Being Followed by a Dog,

A vintage children's book illustration by Honour C. Appleton depicting a little girl and her mother out shopping. While walking down the sidewalk, past another mother and little girl, a small dog is following not far behind. The caption on the illustration says "Rough was following beautifully." The little girl turns to look and holds her hand out to the dog to ensure the dog continues following them. Honour C. Appleton (1879-1951) was an English illustrator and artist who illustrated over 150 books in her career, beginning with children’s books and moving to literary classics. This card is blank inside for your own message.
