This natural colour Lumiere Autochrome process photo is from our private collection and was taken in Hawaii circa 1910. It shows a beautiful Wahine in traditional dress strumming her Ukulele on the beach backed by banana trees. Colour photographs from this era in Hawaii are extremely rare. The Autochrome process was the first colour photographic process commercially available to the general public, beginning in 1907.
