Vintage Japanese Cat Poses Cushion
A cushion for cat lovers and fans of vintage Japanese art featuring a painting called Four Cats in Different Poses by ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi. Three calico and one marmalade cat are drawn in typical feline positions - sleeping, fighting, playing and standing stock still with back turned. Apart from the aloof cat, all wear red and white patterned scarves. Top right is a red scroll with oriental writing. I've added a pattern of the washed grey background to the entire panel. A pattern of the painting is repeated on the back. The cushion would be an ideal new home or housewarming gift for cat owners.
