My restored version of the joyous Procession of Insects painting by late Edo era Japanese artist Nishiyama Kan’ei (1834-1897) who was famous for his beautiful nature illustrations. The merry band of bugs, including crickets, grasshoppers, hornets and praying mantis look like they're having a ball as they dance their way to a party or celebration event.
