Vintage Jerusalem Dome and Walls Christmas Holiday Card

Jerusalem, circa 1850-1852, when the city was still part of the Ottoman Empire and a population of less than 20,000. From a tinted engraving dated 1852, artist unknown. The drawing shows the Dome and many minarets and towers behind the city walls. The landscape outside the city shows valleys and hills and figures on a hillside in the shade of trees.
