Vintage Louis Wain - Cats' Christmas Party,

A vintage illustration by Louis Wain featuring a large family of cats of all ages celebrating Christmas around a Christmas tree. Gifts have been opened, clothes are being tried on, and the floor is strewn with toys and wrapping. The British artist, Louis Wain (1860-1939) was best known for his drawings which consistently featured large-eyed anthropomorphised cats and kittens. Over his career, he illustrated around 100 children’s books and his work appeared on postcards, newspapers, journals and magazines including his own Louis Wain Annual magazine which ran for 16 years. This card is blank inside for your own message.
