Vintage Style St Nicholas (Santa Claus) Christmas Poster
The original St Nicholas (Santa Claus) dress was tan or brown; he was a Bishop of Greek descent and worked mostly in Turkey. Aside from the many things he did, for which he was called the "wonderworker", he had the habit of secretly leaving gifts for people. This gave rise to the legendary character of Sinterklaas (in the Netherlands and Germany) and St Nicholas in the rest of Europe. In most countries of Europe, he wears a blue suit. The red suit version is attributed to Thomas Nast, working for an important magazine (can't name it for copyright reasons I guess!) in the United States in the 1860s, and is known as the father of American Cartoonists. The Santa in red suit has been since then, the icon we all know.

I was given a small budget to decorate a free clinic. I ordered many of the posters from Zazzle because I could select various sizes that fit frames we could re-purpose. The quality of the printing is fine and there's a wide selection of subjects and styles to choose from. The paper quality on most of the items I ordered was decent. For some reason, though, the Ibis poster on "Perfect Poster (Glossy Finish)" is on very flimsy paper. It'll look fine when framed, but I would upgrade the paper choice if I did this over again. The image quality, colors, and printing quality were fine -exactly what I expected.

I love this calendar! The colors are rich and beautiful and the weight of the paper is perfect. It's not too thin. I hung it with a bit of double-sided tape and it lays flat to the wall. It looks great in my kitchen. It's perfect. The printing is bright and the colors are perfect.
