Handmade doilies are beautiful, intricate pieces that showcase the skill, creativity, and patience of their makers. Unfortunately, their practical use as a home decor item is all but obsolete. By repurposing vintage doily designs into accessories like this notebook, I hope to inspire new appreciation for this classic art form. (These are edited images of a real vintage crochet doily I obtained from an antique store in Maryland.)
