Wabi Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic concept deeply rooted in Zen Buddhism. It is about the concepts of simplicity, inconstancy and imperfection. My products try to understand a touch of this hard, worldview. The bamboo is presented in Sumi-e style, an Asian painting technique. The letters on the base are the words "wabi sabi" in Kanji.

It is cardboard and plastic /laminated when it clearly states leather. I was expecting a leather front page. .
