Wanted Poster Benjamin Franklin T-Shirt

Here's the description: Product Title: Benjamin Franklin Wanted Poster — Funny Patriotic Founding Fathers T-Shirt — 250th Anniversary Description: In the long and occasionally undignified history of the British Crown's relationship with its colonial subjects, there have been troublemakers of every conceivable variety. Soldiers. Statesmen. Pamphleteers. The Vikings, who at this point were becoming a recurring theme. And then there was Benjamin Franklin. Mr. Franklin defies easy categorisation. Printer. Publisher. Postmaster. Diplomat. Inventor. Scientist. Philosopher. Civic leader. Author. And, as the Crown eventually discovered to its considerable displeasure, enthusiastic architect of colonial independence at an age when most men of his era were perfectly content to sit quietly by the fire and contemplate their considerable achievements. Benjamin Franklin was seventy years old when he helped draught the Declaration of Independence. Seventy. His Majesty found this particularly aggravating. The man had already invented bifocals. Already mapped the Gulf Stream. Already demonstrated definitively that lightning was electricity by flying a kite in a thunderstorm in what historians agree was either the most brilliant or most inadvisable scientific experiment ever conducted, possibly both simultaneously. He had already done so much. He could have stopped. He did not stop. Instead he went to France — on behalf of the colonies, wearing a fur cap that the French found inexplicably charming — and proceeded to charm, negotiate, flatter, and diplomatically manoeuvre the most powerful nation in Europe into supporting the American Revolution with money, ships, and soldiers. The Crown was not informed this was happening until it was considerably too late. The charges were serious. Treason. Sedition. The kind of charges that look particularly striking on a wanted poster for a seventy year old man in bifocals who was simultaneously the most famous American in Europe and the most wanted man in the British Empire. The reward was one thousand gold sovereigns. It was not enough. It was never going to be enough. Because nobody — not the Crown, not His Majesty, not the entire apparatus of the British Empire — was ever going to outmaneuver Benjamin Franklin. He was simply having too much fun. Wanted. Benjamin Franklin. Treason & Sedition. Age: 70. Retired. Apparently Not. Perfect for history buffs, proud Americans, lovers of founding era humour, fans of aging disgracefully, and anyone who believes that the most dangerous person in any room is the one who is genuinely enjoying themselves. A perfect gift for Fourth of July, Independence Day, history teachers, scientists, diplomats, inventors, anyone who has ever been told they should slow down at their age, anyone who flies kites recreationally, and anyone celebrating 250 years of American audacity. Collect all four — Franklin, Jefferson, Washington and Revere. His Majesty insists. Out_of_Whack — For those who ask for forgiveness... Eventually.
