Carl Frederik Sorenson (Svenske warship out of Gothenburg )1861 Sorensen was in Sweden in July 1861 to see the departure of the Swedish King Charles XV to France and Britain. The King travelled with the Swedish-Norwegian training squadron, and Sorensen drew the ships for the magazine on July 27 and made this painting, dated July 30. The flagship was the steam ship of the line Stockholm, seen to the left.
