    About This Design

    Washington DC - F St. c1906 Tie

    Washington DC - F St. c1906 Tie

Based on a B&W Photograph from the Library of Congress, Detroit Publishing Co. Collection, c1906 This 1906 view of F Street in Washington, D.C. captures a bustling street lined with multi-story commercial buildings featuring awnings over ground-level shops. Horse-drawn carriages and bicycles share the road with pedestrians. Signage for businesses like “ Deimel Linen Mesh Co.,” "The Evans Dental Parlors" and "Florist" is visible on the buildings, providing a snapshot of urban life and commerce from that era.
